Dictionary

When a melee unit is able to attack multiple targets at the same time. Cleave is a passive modifier on any basic melee attack, allowing that unit to not only attack the entity right in front of it, but also two other entities next to the defender. The other attacks hit along the corner diagonal directions.

This ability is an active modifier on a basic attack, usually melee. Knockback, well, knocks back (or, officially, “pushes”) a unit some number of squares in the direction of that attack. If Knockback 1, then 1 square backward. If a collision occurs based on the push, then a condition is met – usually Knockback is written “Knockback X Collision Y” where X is the number of squares pushed by the attack and Y is the effect that applies when a collision occurs. Collision 1 means 1 damage is dealt to the colliding entity.
